Burt Reynolds ( Boogie Nights ) gets help ending it all from an all-star cast featuring Dom DeLuise, Sally Field, Joanne Woodward, Myrna Loy, Carl Reiner and Kristy McNichol. Sonny ( Reynolds ) is a freewheeling bachelor who will do anything to avoid physical pain ! So when he suddenly is diagnosed with a fataland painful disease, he guzzles down a bottle of sleeping pills in an effort to end it all! But his plan not only fails, it lands Sonny in the loony bin beside a demented schizophrenic named Marlon (DeLuise) who is more than eager to help him fulfill his mission !
